Reshaping of Nose
The nose is one of the main balancing features of the face.
We usually advise nose surgery at age 12 or later.
If the nose is abnormal looking because of injury or birth defect such as cleft lip, corrective surgery can be done before school going age and minor alterations and beautifications can be done later.
Points to remember
One of the most difficult operation technically. Alterations are three dimensional. Subtle changes can make a lot of difference. We can only beautify your nose, but we can’t give you someone else’s nose.
Operative Time
The operation usually requires 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
Post operative care
Stay in the hospital is only for a few hours. A cast is applied over your nose for approximately one week. Post operative pain and discomfort is usually mild and easily controlled with prescribed medications. Most patients are quite presentable 10 days after the surgery, when they can go back to school or work.
